Slideshow of Christmas 2007

WE SERVE SUCH AN AWESOME, AMAZING, BIG GOD!!!!!!
v\

Matthew 21:21-22 states: Then Jesus told them, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don't doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain,'May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,'and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it."

These are the words God spoke to me as I was feeling such a burden for so many children at Christmas time. Just the thought of some children not having anything Christmas morning was weighing heavy on my heart. He said, to ask in faith and believe you will receive. A huge thank you goes out to some of our supporters that made this happen. Because of you, we are so happy to say that fifty children were given a brighter and happier Christmas. One family had wrapped up chap stick and coloring books, several families had no presents at all, and some just needed to be shown the love of Christ. Most children received bikes, games, balls, makeup, clothes and shoes along with a host of other things. For many, this was all they received on Christmas. God was so generous to even bless us with several Christmas trees for families that had none. In most cases, I was able to bring the mom or dad and let them do the shopping, needless to say, this was the easier way for a non-shopper like me. However, this could not be worked out for all and we were even delivering presents on Christmas Eve. The pictures above do not even begin to showcase all the children, it is only a sampling.

We can truly say this Christmas was different than any other and the start to many more. God's word says in Acts 20:35 And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'

Thank you again to those that made this possible, you know who you are...........May God bless you with peace, love, joy and abundance this upcoming year. You are truly a blessing....

GENEROUS AND OVERFLOWING......

A few weeks ago our pastor spoke about being generous and that generosity has nothing to do with wealth but has everything to do with the heart. These scriptures have just resonated in my soul.

Here were five promises to the generous:
1. Psalm 41:1--Blessed is he who considers the poor, the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble.
2. Proverbs 28:27--He who gives to the poor will not lack, but he who hides his eyes will have many curses.
3. Isiah 58:10--If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness and your darkness shall be as the noonday.
4. Luke 6:38--Give and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
5. 2 Corinthians 9:7--So, let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudingly or of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Yesterday we had the opportunity to practice this. These pictures really don't even begin to show the magnitude of the blessings that poured into the Dream Center at Winbourne. WE are so blessed to be a blessing.

Our "Ca Duran" house guest ( Cajun Honduran)

Who would have ever thunk it? The same guy who greeted me at the Honduras airport three years ago would be the same person picking up Randy three years later. Gregory has been living with us the past several months working here in the states. He is affiliated with ER International which is the ministry of Ernie and Robyn Breaux in Zambrano Honduras. Check out their web site at erinternational.org. His main goal in coming to the U.S. was to prepare containers that would be shipped back to Honduras. It has been a pleasure having him with us. Let's just hope that we are not "Americanizing" him too much. He will return mid January after visiting with his two daughters in Guatemala.

EXAMS ARE OVER.....

Thank God, semester exams are over. It has been a long time since I was in school and all this studying is "kicking my butt". Back in the day, I never understood the people that did not have to study and today, I still don't.

We were all gathered to celebrate Dillon's 9th birthday. This is a pic of he and his best friend "Chase".
